Sinead Lawless. Capturing colour in oils
In this workshop, we will study the work of Impressionist painters, and especially their use of colour. Sinead will start with the basics of how we use colour ourselves in our work and how to manage our materials. If there is an Impressionist painting you love or are intrigued by, bring a copy of it with you - this can be something you have printed off or a postcard, a book or maybe even from a calendar. We will study how colour harmony was achieved in the work of the Impressionist's and over the weekend we will recreate that painting. The goal of this workshop is to help you feel more at ease and empowered by your palette and help you to achieve harmony in your painting through your choice and use of colour.
