Festive Calligraphy with Sarah O'Dea
This workshop with calligrapher Sarah O’Dea will provide the opportunity to learn the techniques of modern calligraphy. Each participant will be provided with their own kit so that they can continue their practise afterwards. The workshop will have a festive theme and is perfect for beginners.

Sarah O'Dea. Festive Calligraphy.
Participants will start by learning how to use the pen holder and nib and what materials work best. Then we will get working on exercises to practice making shapes and strokes, and then move on to letter forms. By the end of the class participants will have started to develop their own style with plenty of time to practice and one-to-one help. In keeping with the festive theme, participants will have an opportunity to decorate baubles, cards & gift tags.
The Tutor
Sarah O'Dea is a calligrapher and artist based in Dublin, Ireland. She has a background in the visual arts, marketing and design, and set up her calligraphy studio in 2015.
Sarah runs Modern Calligraphy Workshops and also works with brands and private clients creating event stationery and signage. She also creates written props for use in film and television.
