About the Workshop
We are delighted to have Sahoko back with us again in 2026. Sahoko makes life drawing very accessible for all levels and through a variety of medium and with a live model we will work through various approaches to life drawing, from quick gestural sketching to charcoal and even some paint techniques. This workshop is dynamic, playful and breaks down a lot of the barriers to life drawing.
Sahoko is originally from Tokyo, Japan. Before moving to Ireland, she already had a distinguished career as an underwater camerawoman, artist and teacher.
Her paintings and drawings of sea creatures and animal skulls display a deep passion for the natural world from which she draws daily inspiration.
Bog Bodies, a collection of paintings and drawings taps in to the humanity of these remarkably preserved people who lay undiscovered for hundreds of years.
