Plein air painting offers us a deep sensory connection to our environment and allows us to capture the beauty of our world in real time. In this two day workshop we will be concentrating on composition, observation and choosing the scene.

Adapting to changing conditions and translating fleeting moments into solid painting practices and most of all enjoying the gathering of other artists fostering a sense of community and shared experience.

The Tutor

Kate Beagan studied art in Galway but emigrated to Australia before finishing her degree in 1984. While there she continued to paint and exhibit with many of Brisbane's leading galleries before returning to Ireland in 1995. She grew up in Monaghan and is continually drawn to paint the landscape where the criss-crossed narrow roads always lead to some small unseen part of the world. Her work is in the collection of…
