About the Workshop
Bríd Higgins Ní Chinnéide. Portraiture in Oils.
This course takes place over 4 afternoons and will explore painting portraits from life in oil paints. It will be suitable for all levels, but will best suit students with some experience of using oil paints.
Bríd will cover composition, basic anatomy, colour mixing and observation from life and each student will have completed a portrait from a live model by the end of the course. Students with more experience of painting from life will have the opportunity to paint bigger, or to make more than one painting.
The tutor will give live painting demonstrations and will advise each student individually.
The course will take place from 1pm to 5pm on April 25th and May 2nd, 9th & 16th at the Oak Centre, Dunboyne.
