About the Workshop
Nicholas Robinson Still Life in Oils
This course takes place over 2 days and will explore painting still life in oil paints from observation. It will be suitable for all levels, but will be best suited to intermediate or advanced students.
Nicholas' workshops are primarily based around the observation of nature. Still life is an excellent exercise for this purpose. This means learning how to look at nature, what to choose to look at, and then how these observations can be translated into decisions we make with paint. Nicholas is also particularly interested in oil painting best practice and how choices we make with our materials can affect our paintings in the long term.
